Inflatable dock shelters TYPE BU 800
The inflatable dock shelters from BUTT combine optimum sealing with universal application possibilities.
The inflatable side and top cushions seal the load opening virtually airtight. This makes this type ideal for areas such as cold stores and air-conditioned storage rooms. Summer heat, winter cold, draughts, dust and insects haven’t the slightest chance of penetrating into the storage room.
This helps to achieve considerable energy savings and reduced downtime due to personnel illness. There are more benefits. The inflatable top and side cushions not only ensure optimal sealing, but automatically adjust to the dimensions of the HGV, with a maximum of 1,250 mm in height and 800 mm in width. This means that HGVs with different dimensions can be effectively sealed at the loading points
These benefits make this type a good investment. The materials used are of high quality and extremely durable. The inflatable cushions are made from high-quality Cordura®. Cordura® has several positive features, including high tear resistance, colour fastness as well as moisture and mould resistance.
The frame is extremely robust and is made from 40 mm insulated panels. The standard frame colour is light grey.
Type 800 is available with ‘ramp level’ or ‘floor level’. The ramp models are mounted at loading points where the warehouse floor and the HGV loading area are at approximately the same height. The floor level models are used for loading at ground level. As the cushions are retracted behind the front tarpaulins of the dock shelter in the rest position (not inflated), the HGV driver has a perfect view of the loading point when docking.
This is a favourable characteristic that applies throughout the series. As soon as the HGV is in the dock shelter, the cushions are inflated within 15 seconds and a perfect seal is achieved above and beside the trailer.
A useful side effect is that the cushions do not extend into the area of the load opening, as is often the case with tarpaulin dock shelters. This results in optimal accessibility to the loading area, and maximum working space on the ramp. The models have integrated, inflatable lower cushions as standard. These seal the last opening at the bottom rear of the side cushions.
